1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use Nect Me, the digital ID for events run by Nect Me in collaboration with Orbit Luna ("we", "us"). By making an ID, joining an event or hosting one, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Nect Me.
Our privacy policy, cookies page and organiser rules are part of these terms.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Nect Me.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your email account secure. Anyone with access to it may be able to sign in as you.
- You can have up to three personas. They must all be you, in different roles. Do not pretend to be someone else.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us quickly if you think someone else is using it.
3. Your details and content
You own the details, photos and notes you add. You give us permission to store and show them as the service needs to, for example showing your ID to the people you share it with. Only add things you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, hateful, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights.
You can change or remove your details at any time, and delete your account in the app.
4. Using Nect Me properly
Please do not:
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or use details you see here to contact people who have not agreed to be contacted;
- send spam, or use Nect Me to collect people's details in bulk;
- try to get round security, scan the service for weaknesses, overload it or copy it automatically;
- upload malicious code, or content that is illegal or harmful;
- use the service to run a scam or to pretend to be another person or organisation.
If you break these rules, we may remove content, pause sending, or close the account.
5. If you host events
- You run your event. You, not us, are responsible for the event, the venue, safety, tickets, insurance and any laws that apply to it.
- Guest information you receive is shared with you for the event and for the purposes guests agreed to. You must follow the organiser rules and data protection law, including honouring unsubscribes.
- Only invite people you are allowed to contact. We may limit or pause invitations to protect people's inboxes.
6. Our responsibilities
- Nect Me is free to use for now. We work hard to keep it available and accurate but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give notice of anything that matters.
- Events and guests are not checked by us. Meet people sensibly, as you would anywhere.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for business losses, and our total liability for anything connected with the free service is limited to £100.
- If you use Nect Me as a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
7. Ending things
You can stop using Nect Me and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. If we close an account without a breach, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
8. General
- We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in advance. Using Nect Me after a change means you accept it.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with disputes, although you may also have the right to go to court in the part of the UK where you live.
