What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. Browsers also have similar storage that works the same way, and we call all of it "cookies" on this page.

What we always use

These make Nect Me work. The law does not require your consent for them, so they are not switched off by the cookie choice.

ol_authKeeps you signed in on this device. It is protected so web pages cannot read it.90 days
ol_inA simple flag so the website can show "Open my ID" instead of "Sign in".90 days
nm_consent (browser storage)Remembers your cookie choice.Until you clear it
nm_chat (browser storage)Lets a live chat carry on if you reload the page.Until the chat ends
App files (service worker)Lets the app open quickly and show a helpful page if you are offline.Until a new version replaces them

Our own visit counts

We count visits, scans and sign-ups to see what is working. We do this without cookies and without storing your IP address. Each visitor gets a code made from their IP address and browser details, mixed with a secret and the date, so it changes every day and cannot be turned back into a person.

Optional, only if you say yes

Sign-in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, you are sent to Google's own sign-in page, which has its own cookies and privacy policy. We only receive your name, email address and picture.

Changing your mind

You can also delete cookies in your browser's settings, though that will sign you out.
